Topic: Establishing Spiritual Discipline & Hearing God's Voice
Key Scriptures:
- Jeremiah 33:3 - "Call to me and I will answer you..."

- Luke 5:16 - "But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed."
Lesson Objectives:
1. Understand how to hear God clearly and consistently.
2. Identify and remove obstacles to spiritual clarity.
3. Build and maintain effective spiritual disciplines.
5 Ways God Speaks:
1. Scripture (His written Word)
2. Inner witness (peace or unease)
3. Dreams and visions
4. Other people (confirmation through counsel)
5. Audible or internal voice (Holy Spirit)
Barriers to Hearing God:
- Cluttered mind/life
- Sin or disobedience
- Inconsistency in quiet time
- Fear of being wrong
- Emotional or spiritual fatigue
Spiritual Disciplines to Develop:
- Daily Prayer (set a consistent time)
- Bible Reading (start with Psalms, Proverbs, or Gospels)
- Fasting (weekly or as led)
- Journaling (write what you sense God is saying)
- Silence & Solitude (listen more than you speak)
ACTIVATION PRACTICE:
1. Find a quiet space.
2. Play light worship music or sit in silence.
3. Ask: "Holy Spirit, what are you saying to me today?"
4. Write it down.
Group Discussion Questions:
- What has been your biggest barrier to hearing God's voice?
- What do spiritual disciplines currently look like for you?
- What do you believe God is highlighting in this season?
Homework / Weekly Assignment:
1. Spend at least 15 minutes daily in prayer or Bible reading.
2. Journal daily what you sense God is saying.
3. Write your Personal Prophetic Identity Statement:
- "I believe God has called me to..."
4. Draft a mission or purpose statement for your ministry or business idea (if applicable).
Prayer Declaration:
"I am called for such a time as this. I commit to grow, to learn, and to walk in my full potential. The
hand of God is upon me. I will leave this season with clarity, power, and purpose. I am a
Commander in the Kingdom."
